readers were "Creative @ Stamford Library" this summer. We had a full slate of
weekly performances, including a puppet/music show, a song-writing workshop
with Windsor School of Music, crafts with Miss Hope, and a creative movement
session with Mieke Kohn of Soma Studio. We thank the Vermont Dept. of Libraries
for supporting this program with a Summer Artist's grant as well as Friendly's
Ice Cream for donating ice cream coupons.
Hours:
The
fall public library hours are Monday, 9-3:15; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
9-4:15; Thursday evening 5-9; Friday, 9-3:15.The library will be closed Wed., Sept. 30th for all-day
teacher in-service.Also, the library
will close at 1:00 on Wed., Oct 21st; but open Thursday evening,
5-9; and close Oct. 22 for teacher in-service, and Friday, Oct. 23rd
to allow educators to attend the Vermont Teacher's Convention in Montpelier.
Events; The annual SCL book sale will be held Friday evening and Saturday, Oct. 23rd
and 24th.

directions included to access the state downloadable audio book program Listen
up Vermont. as well as a Kilowatt
Electricity Usage Meter donated by Eleanor Kilfoyle-Derby Energy Conservation
group.
